Catharine,
Now I'm kicking myself for not finding time to visit Thames Barrier Park, which was on my to-do list while in London.
I'm quite the fan of Parc Andre Citroen; have written about it often and continue to include it in garden talks. Had not realized Provost was designer of TBP, too.
Surely your feature is the next best thing to seeing the site! Inspiring, while making me wish I could jet back over the pond tout de suite. (btw, when I first saw your post this morning I tried to locate you on twitter to retweet the http, but for some reason couldn't locate you. Now I see you have an 'a' rather than 'e' in Catharine!

Good heavens - I have a house in London about half a mile from the barrier - and never knew the park existed. Which just goes to show that you don't bother to visit the sights on your doorstep .. But next time I'm there, i will

Wow until I read this I would never have given much thought to visitng the Thames barrier. It was just one end of the Thames walk that my husband and I completed a few years ago. "Shiney armadillos which lean towards the far riverbank and to warehouses and belching factory chimneys" - pure poetry. You've got style!
