Sputnik plant has come to live with us. Bought from a charming Frenchman who nurtures bonsai trees. Sputnik plant looks fake, likes to live indoors and those little ball flower heads really are golden.
Said Bonsai expert told me it was called Mikado syngonanthes chrysanthes. Shuffled the three parts of it in the Plant Finder and nothing comes up. Maybe one of my lovely Blotanical.com blotanists from Brasil can help?
Change the spelling to Syngonanthus chrysanthus ‘Mikado’

Noticed your blog under new blogs on Blotanica. This plant is on Wiki, under a very similar name, and they have a photo of the Mikado variety

Wow! What a fantastic plant, although it looks like it could be a little tempramental. It is on wiki with a slightly different spelling, which is perhaps why it is not showing up on your searches? Syngonanthus chrysanthus ‘Mikado’
